Prometheus star Noomi Rapace was not expected to reprise her role as Elizabeth Shaw in ALIEN: COVENANT. Her character was one of the few to survive in the 2012 Alien prequel, but she insisted that she would not return for the Ridley Scott sequel. Based on recent reports, she may be boarding Covenant after all.
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star was reportedly on set in Australia to shoot scenes for the movie. The film stars Michael Fassbender, who is returning to Covenant in the role of the android, David, as well as new Alien cast members include Katherine Waterston, Demian Bichir, Danny McBride, Billy Crudup, Alex England, Jussie Smollett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, and Callie Hernandez.
The film will follow the crew from the colony ship Covenant as they discover what they think is an uncharted paradise, but turns out to be a dangerous world in which David is the sole inhabitant. The 20th Century Fox big-budget pic will be produced under the Scott Free banner. The film is slated for an August 4, 2017 release date.
Rapace recently starred in Child 44 opposite Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman. She can be seen next in Unlocked with Orlando Bloom as well as the sci-fi thriller What Happened to Monday? starring Willem Dafoe and Glenn Close.
She is repped by CAA and Conway Van Gelder Grant.
