Jack Black Set For Special Performance at the Oscars


It’s been announced that actor/singer/funnyman will make a special appearance at this year’s .  This will mark his third appearance at the award ceremony.

Black starred in the comedy School of Rock, about a wannabe rock star in need of cash who poses as a substitute teacher at a prep school and tries to turn his young class into a rock band. He is also the voice of Po in the Kung Fu Panda franchise.  His other acting credits include King KongThe Holiday, and Nacho Libre.  He will next be seen in the big screen adaptation of R.L. Stine’s classic young horror series Goosebumps.

Outside of , Black, with Kyle Glass, is half of the comedy band Tenacious D, which they formed in 1994.
