Jack Kilmer has signed on to join Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling in THE NICE GUYS. The crime thriller is set in 1970s Los Angeles, where a recovering alcoholic and a private investigator are brought together by the suicide of a fading porn star. Together, they launch an investigation after the girl’s aunt swears she saw her niece after her “death” and find that the conspiracy is more far reaching than they expected. Kilmer has been cast as Chet, a film projectionist who is friends with the missing girl. Kim Basinger, Matt Bomer, and Beau Knapp also star.
As the son of Val Kilmer and Joanne Whalley, Jack certainly has a bright future ahead of him in films but so far has only appeared in Gia Coppola’s drama Palo Alto. His upcoming projects, though, include roles in Kyle Patrick Alvarez’s The Stanford Prison Experiment and the drama Len and Company, where he stars with Juno Temple, Kathryn Hahn, and Rhys Ifans.
