Jack O’Connell is on board to star in Terry Gilliam’s DON QUIXOTE. The action adventure flick, directed by Gilliam and co-written with Tony Grisoni, centers on a filmmaker who joins Don Quixote on his eternal quest for his ladylove after he’s transported back in time to 17th century Spain. O’Connell has been cast as Toby, the commercial filmmaker.
O’Connell is known in his native Britain for his role as James Cook in the latter seasons of the teen drama Skins. Over here, though, he might be best recognized for his roles in the drama Starred Up, action/drama 300: Rise of an Empire, or for the indie thriller ’71. His upcoming credits are pretty impressive, too, including a starring turn in Angelina Jolie’s sports drama Unbroken and in Justin Chadwick’s drama Tulip Fever, where he stars alongside Christoph Waltz, Judi Dench, and Holliday Grainger.
