Jacob Tremblay Joins Shane Black’s “Predator” Reboot

Room star is the latest actor to join the cast of the forthcoming Shane Black-directed PREDATOR reboot. The young breakout star joins an all-star cast that includes Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Keegan Michael-Key, Sterling K. Brown, and Trevante Rhodes.

The young actor is set to play the Holbrook’s character, an ex-Marine who discovers the existence of fierce aliens but finds that no one believes they exist. The son is autistic and bullied in school but becomes a key player in the fight due to his preternatural ability to learn languages.

The story, which was co-written by Black and Fred Dekker, will be cut from the same cloth as the original which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as the leader of an elite special forces team who is on a mission to rescue hostages from guerrilla territory in Central American while being stalked and hunted by a technologically advanced form of extraterrestrial life. Black also appeared in the original as a member of Schwarzenegger’s team.

Tremblay is a busy actor having starred in a slate of films since his role in Room opposite Brie Larson. He starred in the thriller Shut In and can be seen in the forthcoming The Book of Henry and Wonder alongside Julia Roberts.
