Jada Pinkett Smith and Kathryn Hahn have been added to the star-studded cast of the UNTITLED STX COMEDY (FKA Bad Moms). They join previously announced cast Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Christina Applegate.
The film follows Kunis as a woman with a seemingly perfect life who teams up with two other over-stressed mothers (Applegate and Bell), leading them on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities.
The film is written and directed by duo Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, who are best known for their work on the blockbuster comedy The Hangover. Bill Block and Suzanne Todd are producing with STX Entertainment and the film has already been set for an August 19 release.
Pinkett Smith most recently starred on the television series Gotham and on the big screen in last year’s Magic Mike XXL. Hahn, meanwhile, starred in the Showtime series Happyish opposite Steve Coogan and has had recent guest roles in Amazon’s Transparent and Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Pinkett Smith is repped by Paradigm and Miguel Melendez at Overbrook Entertainment.
Hahn is repped by Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment.
