Jaimie Alexander and Bernard White will have major recurring roles on HBO’s upcoming comedy series THE BRINK. They join Tim Robbins, Jack Black, and Pablo Schreiber, who star as the U.S. Secretary of State, a low-on-the-totem-pole Foreign Service officer, and a Navy fighter pilot, respectively. The series centers on these three during a geopolitical crisis as they struggle to pull the world away from the brink of World War III. Alexander has been cast as Gail Sweet, a public affairs officer, while White will play General Haroon Raja, the head of the ISI with an eye towards one day ruling Pakistan.
Alexander is best known as Sif in the “Thor” franchise of films as well as Sarah Torrance in crime/thriller “The Last Stand” with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Forest Whitaker. As for TV, Alexander has guest starred in various series, including “Covert Affairs,” “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and “Nurse Jackie.” Next up, Alexander will star in thriller “Broken Vows” with Wes Bentley and Matt Gerald.
White is the veteran TV actor who has appeared on various series, including “General Hospital,” “JAG,” and more recently, “Silicon Valley.” On the movie side of things, White played Rama-Kandra in “The Matrix Reloaded” and “The Matrix Revolutions,” as well as Councilman Singh in Marvels’ “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”
