James Franco is set to direct ZOLA TELLS ALL, which is based on one of the biggest social media events from 2015.
Screenwriters Mike Roberts and Andrew Neel will adapt David Kushner‘s Rolling Stone article, Zola Tells All: The Real Story Behind The Greatest Stripper Saga Ever Tweeted. The movie will follow a trip taken to Florida by stripper, Aziah “Zola” Wells, her boyfriend, her friend Jessica, and her pimp named Z. The real-life trip was documented on Twitter via a 148-tweet travelogue.
Vince Jolivette will produce with Franco under their Rabbit Bandini Productions banner. Christine Vachon and David Hinojosa from Killer Films will also produce along with Gia Walsh and Kara Baker from Gigi Films.
Franco is repped by CAA.
