James McAvoy To Lead Romantic Thriller Adaptation “Submergence”

The pic follows two lovers separated by thousands of miles and engaged in dangerous situations, who find comfort in their memories of their intense romance the previous Christmas. James Moore (McAvoy) endures captivity by jihadist fighters in Somalia, while Danielle Flinders explores the greatest depths of the ocean floor from her submersible, yet they both persevere in the desperate hope that they will once again reunite.

McAvoy, who recently wrapped on Fox’s X-Men: Apocalypse, will next appear in this month’s Victor Frankenstein opposite Daniel Radcliffe. He’s currently in on M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller Split, and will soon shoot the Charlize Theron-led drama/thriller The Coldest City.
