Gotham Group picked up the rights for the project, which is set in a world where regular humans and lycans (who are people infected with werewolf blood) live side by side. The lycans are a stigmatized subclass forced to suppress their bestial nature pharmacologically, until a series of events leads to a worldwide uprising.
Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Lindsay Williams are on board to produce.
Ponsoldt is proving to be a ver talented up-and-coming filmmaker, having penned and directed the indie drama “Smashed” and helmed the Sundance hit “The Spectacular Now”. He is currently in development on several projects including “Pure”, “Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock” and “Rodham”.
