James Wan and New Line are set to bring THE BOY WHO DREW MONSTERS to life. New Line came out on top of a bidding war for the rights to Keith Donahue’s 2014 novel, and The Conjuring’s and Saw’s James Wan is going to produce with Michael Clear. Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing are on board to adapt the book. Dave Neustadter, Richard Brener and Walter Hamada will oversee for New Line.
The novel follows an autistic 10-year-old who is locked away from most of the world due to his Asperger’s and agoraphobia. He does, however, have the gift of bringing anything he draws to life; unfortunately he only seems to draw monsters.
