Jude Law has joined the cast of western JANE GOT A GUN. Project already boasts Natalie Portman, Joel Edgerton and a tight script by Brian Duffield. Good gravy do we need more good westerns on the horizon.
After her husband shows up badly wounded, a woman (Portman) must defend her home with an ex-lover (Edgerton) when her husband’s gang returns to finish the job. Law will play the villain, and leader of her husband’s gang. The role initially was meant for Edgerton, but he gravitated to the ex-lover role once Michael Fassbender’s schedule caused him to drop out.
Producing will be Natalie Portman, Terry Dougas, Chris Coen, Scott Steindorff and Peter Nathanial.
Law was last in “Side Effects” and will next be seen in “Dom Hemingway” and “The Grand Budapest Hotel”.
He is repped by WME.
