Jason Clarke is in talks to join the cast of CHILD 44, opposite Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Paddy Considine and Seymour Hoffman. The project, based on the 2008 novel “Child 44” by Tom Rob Smith, follows a Russian secret service officer (Hardy) who goes on the run with his wife (Rapace) and discovers a string of child murders. Clarke will play a snaky man named Brodsky who is accused by Hardy of being a traitor.
Richard Price wrote the script which is currently being directed by Daniel Espinosa. Ridley Scott
and Michael Costigan are the producers.
Clarke was last seen in “The Great Gatsby” and “White House Down.” He’s currently filming “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” and is attached to appear in “Candy Store.”
He is repped by CAA.
