Jason Clarke Opens Up The “Candy Store”

Stephen Gaghan’s , which has gone through a bevy of casting rumors and negotiations, has finally landed a star with signing on.

The thriller centers on an elite, highly trained, deep cover operative who loses everything, and disappears into Brooklyn. Years later he resurfaces, serving as a beat cop who just discovered the global organization he was dedicated to fighting is now operating in his new backyard. There’s no word as to what Clarke’s role would be in the film.

Gaghan will also produce with Allison Shearmur.

Clarke has been breaking through as of late with impressive turns in “Public Enemies”, “Lawless” and the Oscar-nominated “Zero Dark Thirty”. He will next be seen in Roland Emmerich’s “White House Down” and Baz Luhrmann’s “The Great Gatsby”.
