Wayward Pines star Jason Patric and Jake Picking are set to star in FORGIVING KEVIN, a drama being produced by Domicile Films. Producer Christopher J. Scott, who adapted the screenplay from the 2011 non-fiction book by Larry Glenz, will direct.
The film is based on the true story of Glenz (Patric) and his journey as he tries to save his son, Kevin (Picking), from descending into the abyss and chaos of heroin addiction.
Scott, who previously directed the film Snow Blind, and executive produced the 2016 remake of Cabin Fever, is producing with Gautama Kavuri, Eric T. Thompson, Richard Marincic, Glen Scott, and Chadwick Struck.
Patric, who may be best known for his roles in the films Sleepers, Speed 2: Cruise Control, and Narc, most recently appeared in the horror films The Abandoned and Home Invasion. He also has a regular role on the Fox drama series Wayward Pines. He is also attached to star in the upcoming thriller Hotel 33 from Open Road Films and recently wrapped on director Alexandre Moors’ adaptation of the war drama The Yellow Birds.
Picking first appeared on the big screen in the 2013 Nat Faxon-Jim Rash dramedy The Way, Way Back. He appeared in this year’s Dirty Grandpa opposite Robert De Niro and Zac Efron and the fraternity drama Goat with Nick Jonas. He’ll next be seen in Peter Berg’s Boston Marathon bombing drama Patriots Day.
