Jason Statham is currently in early negotiations to join Netflix’s breakout Marvel series, DAREDEVIL. Latino Review reported that the action star is being sought-after to portray the iconic Daredevil villain Bullseye.
The famed baddie is one of the man without fear’s most notable rogues and fans have been clamoring for his appearance since the series premiered. Production is set to begin late July, with release dated for May 2016. The first season cast included Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Scott Glenn, Bob Gunton, Toby Leonard Moore, Vondie Curtis Hall, and Ayelet Zurer.
Bullseye is a beloved Marvel villain who possesses the ability to use any object as a lethal projectile, even something seemingly harmless. A nearly impeccable marksman and psychopathic assassin, the character has countless times proven to be a worthy foe to the devil of Hell’s Kitchen. The character was portrayed by Colin Firth in the forgettable 2003 Daredevil, which starred Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner.
Statham is next set to star opposite Melissa McCarthy and Jude Law in the caper comedy Spy, which bows this weekend. He’s next set to lead Summit’s Mechanic: Resurrection and the action/thriller Viva La Madness. Statham’s repped by CAA and Current Entertainment.
