Jay Baruchel has joined the cast of Cameron Crowe’s untitled project alongside Emma Stone, Bradley Cooper, Rachel McAdams, Danny McBride and Alec Baldwin. The story follows a defense contractor (Cooper), who is overseeing a weapons satellite launch from Hawaii, that teams up with an Air Force pilot (Stone) to scuttle the launch. That sheds a little light on why it was previously called “Deep Tiki.” Baruchel will play Cooper’s step brother.
Crowe is directing from his own script as well as producing alongside Scott Rudin.
Baruchel last appeared in “This is The End” and the underrated hockey comedy “Goon.” He’ll next appear in the “RoboCop” remake.
He is repped by CAA.
