Jean-Marc Vallée Decides To Get “Wild”

Jean-Marc Vallée will helm , which follows an inexperienced hiker (Reese Witherspoon) who tackles an 1100 mile hike to reclaim her life.

The project is based on the book “Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail” written by Cheryl Strayed. Novelist-turned-screenwriter Nick Hornby wrote the script. Lisa Cholodenko was previously set to direct but dropped out. Producing will be Reese Witherspoon and Bruna Papandrea.

Vallée last directed “The Young Victoria” and his next film “Dallas Buyers Club” will hit the festival circuit starting with TIFF.
