Some big talent is joining Robert De Niro on BUS 757. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kate Bosworth, Dave Bautista, and Gina Carano are all joining Scott Mann’s upcoming action/thriller. The project, penned by Stephen Sepher, follows a Las Vegas detective who must race against time to save a bus full of hostages after a seemingly failed bank robbery that has been masterminded by a man sitting in the detective’s own station, bent on vengeance. Morgan will star as the detective, while Bautista has been cast as the mastermind of the heist. De Niro will play the owner of the casino alongside Bosworth, who will play his estranged daughter. Carano is the policewoman trying to save the hostages.
You may know Morgan from shows like “Supernatural” and “Grey’s Anatomy” and for his feature work in “P.S. I Love You,” which all resulted in his characters’ untimely ends. The good news is, Morgan’s always back for more in projects like “Magic City” and “They Came Together.” His next projects include “The Salvation” opposite Mads Mikkelsen and thriller “Solace” with Colin Farrell and Anthony Hopkins.
Bosworth is most well known for her roles in “Superman Returns,” “21” and “Movie 43.” Next up, Bosworth is set to appear in the drama “Still Alice” with Julianne Moore, as well as Mike Flanagan’s “Somnia” with Annabeth Gish and Thomas Jane.
Until quite recently, Bautista was known for his moves inside the wrestling ring, but after playing Drax in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” he’s become the man of the hour. Of course, “Guardians” wasn’t his first on screen role. Bautista has also appeared in crime drama “House of the Rising Sun” and action thriller “Riddick.”
Carano is the newbie of the group, having appeared in a small number of standout roles, including Steven Soderbergh’s action thriller “Haywire” and Justin Lin’s “Fast & Furious 6.” Among her upcoming projects, Carano has been cast in the untitled Adi Shankar project alongside Linda Hamilton.
