Jennifer Aniston will play sports dealmaker Denise White in THE FIXER. Fox 2000 bought the pitch from Dallas Buyers Club scribe Melisa Wallack, with White’s life rights and “The Woman Who Bails Out The NFL’s Bad Boys,” a Men’s Journal article about her by Paul Solotaroff.
Aniston stars as White, a former Miss USA contestant who rose to the top of the male-dominated world of professional sports management by establishing herself as a tireless defender of her high-profile clients when their images were in serious peril.
Steve Barnett and Bernie Goldmann will produce alongside Aniston and Kristin Hahn for Echo Films. Aleen Keshishian will be exec producer. Zack Morgenroth is co-producer. Director James Gray is circling the project but has not been officially attached.
Best known for her iconic role as Rachel Green on Friends, Aniston has had an easy transition to the big screen with such hits as Horrible Bosses, We’re The Millers, and Marley & Me, as well as indie dramas Cake, The Good Girl, and cult classic Office Space.
She is repped by CAA and Brillstein Entertainment Partners. Wallack is with WME.
