Jennifer Ehle has joined the cast of FIFTY SHADES OF GREY, alongside Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson. The story follows a virgin, Anastasia Steele (Johnson), who signs her life over to an alluring entrepreneur, Christian Grey (Hunnam), with a severe sexual appetite for bondage and sadism. Ehle will play Carla, Anastasia’s mother who is a strong Southern woman on her fourth marriage.
Kelly Marcel is adapting EL James’ book for Sam Taylor-Johnson (“Nowhere Boy”) to direct. Producing will be James, James Schamus, Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti.
Ehle last appeared in “Zero Dark Thirty” and will soon be seen in “Black and White” and the “Robocop” remake.
She is repped by ICM.
