Jennifer Garner has been set to star in HBO’s , the Girls follow-up from Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner.

The eight-episode limited series will begin in the spring.

“We love Jennifer’s restraint and comedic timing, and we can’t wait for the warmth and intelligence she’ll bring to our central character, Kathryn,” Konner and Dunham said in a statement. “It’s truly a dream to have her first on our call sheet. Now we just have to write her some stunts.”

Walt’s 45th birthday was supposed to be a delightful weekend back to nature, at least according to his obsessively organized and aggressively controlling wife Kathryn (Garner). But when the camping trip gathers Kathryn’s meek sister, holier than thou ex-best friend and a free-spirited Tagalong in one place, it becomes a weekend of tested marriages and woman on woman crime that won’t soon be forgotten. Plus, bears.

Dunham and Konner are writing and executing producing, with Julia Davis, Christine Langan and Ilene S. Landress also serving as EPs.

Camping is based on the British series of the same name, created by Julia Davis and produced by Baby Cow Productions.

The show marks Garner’s first role since wrapping up her iconic role as Sydney Bristow on JJ Abrams’ Alias in 2006. Over the course of the show’s five-season run, Garner was nominated for four Emmy awards, four Golden Globes and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. On the film side, she will next be seen in Greg Berlanti’s Love, Simon, out in March.

Garner is represented by , Nicole King at Management 360, and Harris Hartman and Jason Sloane of Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern.
