Jenny Slate is set to reunite with Gillian Robespierre and Elisabeth Holm for the ensemble comedy LANDLINE. The duo wrote last year’s indie hit Obvious Child which starred Slate and was directed by Robespierre.
Slate is set to star alongside John Turturro, Edie Falco, Jay Duplass and newcomer Abby Quinn. The film which follows three women in one family navigating their lives during 1995 Manhattan. Teenager Ali (Quinnn) finds out that her dad (Turturro) is having an affair while Dana (Slate) discovers her wild side. The matriarch, Pat (Falco) tries to come to the realization that she can’t have it all. All the while, they realize that they still have each other.
Holm is set to produce the film alongside Gigi Pritzker from OddLot Entertainment as well as Russell Levine from Route One Entertainment. Rachel Shane from OddLot will serve as executive producer and Stacey Keppler will also produce.
Slate recently lent her voice to Disney’s hit Zootopia. Her voice can also be heard in the forthcoming animated feature The Secret Life of Pets. On the live-action side of things, she stars in My Blind Brother opposite Nick Kroll and Adam Scott which premiered at SXSW. She can also be seen next in Gifted with Chris Evans and Octavia Spencer as well as Aardvark starring Zachary Quinto and Jon Hamm.
