Jerry Bruckheimer has sold script BONE HOUSE to The CW. Sheri Elwood wrote the dramedy, which centers on a group of estranged siblings whose family business is a private autopsy company. The Warner Bros. Television project is being described as an offbeat comedic family drama. Elwood will also executive produce along with Bruckheimer under his Jerry Bruckheimer Television banner, as well as Jonathan Littman and KristieAnne Reed.
Of course Bruckheimer is the prolific TV producer behind popular series like “Without A Trace” and the “CSI” franchise, but he’s not usually associated with networks like the CW. This project does seem right in his wheelhouse of dramatic crime procedurals, but is maybe an odd fit for the network known for more YA fare like “The Vampire Diaries” and “Hart of Dixie.” The CW has only recently branched out from it’s teen dramas and comic book series to programs like the telenovela adaptation of “Jane the Virgin.”
Bruckheimer is repped by CAA.
