Jerry Bruckheimer Television has signed a three-year overall deal with CBS TV Studios, coming on the heels of the super-producer uprooting his TV studio from Warner Bros. more than a year ago. Bruckheimer TV also produced the network’s Training Day series, though that was canceled after the death of star Bill Paxton in February
Bruckheimer has a long history with CBS as well, being the producer behind the network’s CSI franchise and Amazing Race series.
Upon leaving WBTV, Bruckheimer had expressed a desire to team up with independent financiers, but has landed back in the studio system after being unable to find the right fit for his company.
The production company’s executives, led by Jonathan Littman, will remain with the company in its new home.
Bruckheimer TV has Fox’s Lucifer, a WBTV series, and CBS’ Amazing Race, heading into new seasons. The company also recently sold drama Atlanta’s Most Wanted to Fox, via 20th Century TV.
