Jesse Eisenberg and Jeremy Irons have joined the cast of the untitled BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN movie alongside Henry Cavill (Beardy McSuperbeard), Amy Adams (Lois “Plot Device” Lane), Diane Lane (Mama Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Mr. Black White), Ben Affleck (Baltimore Bats) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman Life Model Decoy). The plot is still being kept under wraps but if anything it’ll be interesting. With Eisenberg playing Lex Luthor (no doubt he’ll channel some Zuckerberg) and Irons playing (a finger’s crossed, pervy) Alfred, it’ll be very, very interesting. Interesting doesn’t always equal good, but I’ll take ambitious trash over lazy trash any day of the week.
Chris Terrio is writing the most current draft after taking over for DC Guru (and Whedon nemesis) David S. Goyer. Deborah Snyder and Charles Roven will produce with Christopher Nolan executive producing.
Eisenberg, best known for “Zombieland” and “Social Network”, was last seen in “Now You See Me” and will soon turn up in Richard Ayoade’s “Double.” Irons last appeared in the somewhat surprising “Beautiful Creatures” and will next appear in “The Man Who Knew Infinity.”
Eisenberg and Irons are repped by CAA.
