An impressive cast signs on for psychological thriller THE BLUNDERERS. Jessica Biel, Patrick Wilson, Imogen Poots, and Toby Jones will star in the adaptation that will be directed by Andy Goddard. The project follows Walter Stackhouse, an architect in 1960s New York who becomes the prime suspect after his wife, Clara, dies in the same spot as a murder he was investigating earlier. Wilson will star as Walter while Biel has been cast as his unfortunate wife. Poots plays a woman Walter is lusting after and Jones plays the creepy but clever killer.
Biel got her start on the WB’s teen drama “7th Heaven” and starred in films like “Summer Catch” and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” before stretching her acting muscles in “The Illusionist” and “Hitchcock.” Her upcoming projects include David O. Russell’s rom-com “Nailed” opposite James Marsden and Jake Gyllenhaal and Bill Purple’s “The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea.”
Wilson began is career on Broadway in shows like “The Full Monty” and “Oklahoma!” He then went on to act in HBO mini-series “Angels in America” and “Little Children” before starring in “Insidious” and Diablo Cody’s “Young Adult.” Next up for Wilson are roles in Edgar Wright’s “Ant-Man” and rom-com “Big Stone Gap” opposite Ashley Judd and Whoopi Goldberg.
Poots is known for her roles in horror flick “Fright Night,” comedy “That Awkward Moment” and, most recently, “Need for Speed” opposite Aaron Paul. Her upcoming roles include a starring turn in Terrence Malik’s “Knight of Cups” opposite Christian Bale and Josh Boone’s drama “Pretenders” with Dianna Agron and Michael B. Jordan.
Jones is the British actor most well known for his portrayal of Truman Capote in the biopic “Infamous.” He has also played Dobby in the “Harry Potter” franchise and had starring roles in the Stephen King adaptation “The Mist” and in “The Hunger Games” series. Jones will be reprising his role as Claudius Templesmith in the upcoming “Hunger Games” films and has a starring role in “Serena” which also stars Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.
