EuropaCorp‘s MISS SLOANE has tapped Jake Lacy to join Jessica Chastain and Alison Pill in the dramatic thriller. The film centers on a seasoned lobbyist who takes on a well-financed and unscrupulous member of the Gun Lobby as she and her small team attempt to pass the most important legislation in the history of gun control into Federal law.
John Madden will direct from a script penned by first-time screenwriter Jonathan Perera. Ben Browning is producing for FilmNation with Patrick Chu executive producing and EuropaCorp fully financing and handling distribution.
Lacy previously starred in acclaimed indie movie Obvious Child and recently wrapped production on Their Finest Hour with Bill Nighy and Gemma Arterton. He next stars with Rebel Wilson and Dakota Johnson in How To Be Single, in theaters February 12 and will return as Fran Parker on the fifth season of HBO’s Girls, premiering February 21. Lacy can currently be seen in Carol opposite Rooney Mara.
