Netflix has renewed MARVEL’S JESSICA JONES for a third season. The renewal comes a little more than a month after its second season launch on International Women’s Day. Season 2 shook things up a bit by focusing more on the drama in each of the character’s life versus having a season-long villain, with every episode being helmed by a female director.
The series, starring Krysten Ritter, follows New York City PI Jessica Jones as she begins to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past.
Returning season 2 cast members include Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, and Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse. Melissa Rosenberg serves as the series showrunner as well as executive producer along with Ruelle Tucker, Jim Chory, and Jeph Loeb.
