Emmy-winning director Jill Soloway is looking to add another show to her queue at Amazon. She is currently developing a half-hour musical comedy with former Transparent writer Ethan Kuperberg.
The series was sold to Amazon by Kuperberg as a pitch. He will serve as a writer for the show while Soloway is set to executive produce alongside Andrea Sperling, another member from the Transparent family.
The show, like Transparent, will be set in Los Angeles and follow a woman’s search for love and self-discovery in the city.
This musical comedy continues Soloway’s strong relationship with Amazon. In addition to this project and Transparent, Amazon ordered a pilot for her sex comedy I Love Dick starring Kevin Bacon and Kathryn Hahn.
Soloway is repped by UTA.
Kuperberg is repped by Merideth Bajana and Grandview.
