Jim Belushi, John Leguizamo, and Lynn Collins join Patrick Wilson and Ian McShane for the thriller THE MAN ON CARRION ROAD. Set in the aftermath of a smuggling deal gone awry, the story follows two border-town sheriffs who must resort to extreme measures in order to stop the mysterious cartel butcher sent to punish their small town. McShane and Wilson have been cast as the sheriffs while Leguizamo will play the cartel butcher.
Belushi is best known for his comedy roles on “SNL” and his sitcom “According to Jim” so unless he’s cast as comic relief, his role in this film would mark a turn toward more serious fare. The same can be said for Leguizamo who is known for his roles in “Moulin Rouge” and the “Ice Age” franchise. Leguizamo does have more dramatic roles in the pipeline, though. He’ll be appearing in the thriller “A Conspiracy on Jekyll Island” and a role opposite William H. Macy in “Stealing Cars.” Collins goes for more action packed roles in films like “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” “John Carter,” and “The Number 23.”
The project starts production on April 14th, 2014.
