Oscar winner Jodie Foster has joined Drew Pearce’s near-future thriller HOTEL ARTEMIS. The project marks Pearce’s directorial debut and a return for Foster in front of the camera after having focused on directing for the past few years.
Pearce penned the script which is set in its own distinct crime universe. Foster will play a character called “The Nurse.” Pearce is best known for his screenwriting work including Iron Man 3 and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation.
The Ink Factory’s Simon and Stephen Cornwell are producing with Marc Platt Productions’ Adam Siegel and Marc Platt. Pearce will executive produce through Point of No Return.
Foster most recently directed George Clooney and Julia Roberts in Money Monster in addition to episodes of the Netflix series Black Mirror, Orange is the New Black, and House of Cards. Her last on-screen role was in 2013’s Elysium and The Beaver, the latter of which she also helmed.
She is repped by ICM.
