We have Cop Car’s Jon Watts directing, Wolf Hall‘s Tom Holland web-slinging, and now we have Vacation-reboot alums John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein writing. In addition to New Line’s Vacation, the writing duo has worked together on projects including The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and Horrible Bosses.
Amy Pascal, formerly of Sony, and Marvel’s Kevin Feige have teamed up to produce this reboot, which will allow for the team-up of Spidey and the Avengers in Captain America:Civil War. The word around Comic Con was that this friendly neighborhood blockbuster will place Peter Parker back in high school, but will not be an origin story.
Daley and Goldstein are repped by UTA.
