John Gatins is set to pen the next draft of SKULL ISLAND for Legendary Pictures. The King Kong origin story is set on Skull Island and stars Tom Hiddleston. The Universal Pictures action flick is being directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts.
Gatins is the scribe behind sports drama Coach Carter, Shawn Levy’s action/sci-fi drama Real Steel, and Robert Zemeckis’ thriller Flight starring Denzel Washingston. Gatins upcoming projects include penning the scripts for Nic Mathieu’s action flick Spectral, as well as the sequel Real Steel 2.
