John Krasinski, Emily Blunt to Star in “A Quiet Place,” Which He’ll Also Direct for Paramount

After directing a pair of indie films, is set to make his first studio movie with ’s supernatural thriller , and he landed a real coup to star alongside him — his real-life wife .

, and of will produce the film, which comes on the heels of Krasinski’s starring turn in Bay’s pic 13 Hours.

Krasinski and his Sunday Night partner Allyson Seeger will serve as executive along with and , who wrote the original screenplay.

Krasinski has since rewritten the script and story details are being kept under wraps, though sources suggest he and Blunt will play a married couple with children, who find themselves under attack from a supernatural entity. Production will start this fall.

Believe it or not, Krasinski and Blunt have never worked together before despite getting married in 2010, as they prefer to keep their personal and professional lives separate. They both appeared in Disney’s 2011 movie The Muppets but they didn’t share any scenes together, and they’re also lending their voices to the upcoming animated movie Animal Crackers. This will be the first live-action movie in which they share the screen together.

Blunt, who is coming off a SAG Award nomination for her turn as an alcoholic in The Girl on the Train, is currently filming the Disney sequel Mary Poppins Returns.

Meanwhile, Krasinski is coming off the awards season success of Manchester by the Sea, which he executive produced. He recently wrapped Kathryn Bigelow’s Untitled Detroit Project and he’s currently filming  and Jack Ryan series, which is set to air on Amazon in 2018.

As a director, Krasinski most recently helmed The Hollars for Sony Pictures Classics. He’s represented by , while Blunt is repped by and . also reps .
