John Pogue will replace Anthony and Joe Russo as director for CIUDAD. The story follows a hostage extractor who travels to Ciudad del Este, a very dangerous border town in Paraguay, to save a kidnapped victim.
Joe Russo (“Welcome to Collinwood”) will adapt the comic he co-wrote with his brother Anthony and Ande Parks. Producing will be Peter Schwerin and Eric Gitter.
Known mostly for his writing, Pogue made his directorial debut with 2011’s “Quarantine 2: Terminal.” Coming soon from him is “The Quiet Ones,” which he also wrote.
He is repped by Resolution.
