Johnny Depp and his daughter, Lily-Rose Depp and Kevin Smith’s daughter Harley Quinn Smith, have signed on to star in Smith’s YOGA HOSERS. The action comedy follows two 15-year old yoga enthusiasts who team up with a man-hunter when an ancient evil threatens their town, and their chances of getting invited to a party. The project is a follow-up to Smith’s “Tusk,” and much of the cast will be returning. Michael Parks, Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez, Ralph Garman, Jennifer Schwalbach, and Harley Morenstein will all be back for more. Some of the newbies include Tony Hale, Natasha Lyonne, Austin Butler, Adam Brody, Tyler Posey and Jason Mewes.
Lily-Rose and Harley Quinn have both appeared in past Smith projects, having both appeared in “Tusk” as convenience store clerks, roles they’ll be reprising for this project. Additionally, Harley Quinn has had minor roles in many of her father’s past films, including “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back” and “Clerks II.” Papa Depp has likewise appeared in Smith’s soon-to-be-released “Tusk” and will next be starring in “Into the Woods” and “Black Mass,” where he’ll play Whitey Bulger. He’s also reprising his role as Mad Hatter in “Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass.”
Depp is repped by UTA.
