Jon M. Chu Signs Up For “Now You See Me 3”

NOW YOU SEE ME 3 is bringing back for directing duties. He also directed Now You See Me 2 which is set to premiere this year on June 10. The original movie made $351.7 million worldwide.

CEO announced last year that plans for a third installment were in the works at . He also said that they believed Now You See Me 2 would top the gross for the original film which bowed in 2013.

The original film starred Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine. The film centered on four magicians who engineered multi-million dollar heists while being tracked by Ruffalo’s character. Everyone returned for the second film except for Fisher, who was replaced by Lizzy Caplan. Daniel Radcliffe also joined the cast. 

Chu previously directed Step Up 2: The Streets, Step Up 3D, and G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
