Jonah Hill will sit in the director’s chair for the first time for the dramedy MID-90s, a coming-of-age story about a group of teens in California in the ’90s learning about the ups and downs of life during their adolescence.
Hill wrote the script and A24 is set to release the film. Scott Rudin and Eli Bush will serve as producers. There are no details on the start date of the project, but Hill is reportedly not going to star in the movie.
Hill recently starred in the Coen Brothers’ comedy Hail, Caesar! He can be next heard in the R-rated animated feature Sausage Party and the Todd Phillips-directed War Dogs with Miles Teller. He is slated to reprise his role as Schmidt in 23 Jump Street and has recently signed on to star in the Cary Fukunaga comedy Maniac opposite Emma Stone.
He is repped by WME.
