Real-life sisters Maggie Elizabeth Jones and Mary-Charles Jones have just been cast in IDENTITY THEFT, an upcoming comedy from Seth Gordon and Universal. The sisters, who also appeared in the “Footloose” remake, will play the daughters of leads Jason Bateman and Amanda Peet.
Also joining the cast is comedy veteran Jon Favreau, who will play Bateman’s boss.
Craig Mazin, Jerry Eeten and Steve Conrad penned the pic, about a man whose life spins out of control after his identity is stolen. When he tracks down the thief, played by Melissa McCarthy, things get even more complicated. Bateman will produce alongside Scott Stuber and Pamela Abdy, under the banner of Bluegrass Films with Peter Morgan and Dan Kolsrud exec producing.
In addition to their work in tandem, Maggie (the younger of the two) appeared in “We Bought a Zoo” and Mary-Charles in “Father of Invention”. Favreau previously worked with Bateman in “Couples Retreat”, and is in development on his next directorial project, “Magic Kingdom”.
The girls are repped by Osbrink Talent and Caliber Media Co., and Favreau is repped by CAA.
