“Orphan Black” star Jordan Gavaris joins the cast of Gus Van Sant’s SEA OF TREES. The drama centers on an American man and a Japanese man who meet in the “Suicide Forest” in Japan and instead of killing themselves, embark on a journey through the forest together. Matthew McConaughey and Ken Watanabe star as the American and Japanese man, while Naomi Watts has been cast as McConaughey’s wife. Van Sant will direct from a script penned by Chris Sparling.
Gavaris’ best known role to date has been playing Felix on the clone drama series “Orphan Black,” but before that the Canadian actor appeared on “Degrassi: The Next Generation” and “Unnatural History.” He also played a minor role in 2013’s “Curse of Chucky.”
