After walking the tight rope across the WTC buildings, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is going to need something big to scare him, and we think it’s going to come from Katie Lovejoy. The writer pitched a psychological thriller called IN SIGHT, and Universal won the bidding war. In addition to the box-office record-breaking studio behind the project, veteran producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are producing.
Lovejoy has worked with Universal before, starting out as an assistant to producers on the Syfy show, Eureka, and continuing to NBC with a writer’s credit on the Jonathan Rhys Meyers creature drama, Dracula. After that, her career really took off and in addition to this project, she has two TV series pitches and an option for her adaptation of The Selection. She is repped by CAA.
Zadan and Meron have been busy with Universal as well, working on NBC’s live broadcast of The Wiz in a couple months and prepping Mattel’s Monster High feature adaptation for Universal. Gordon-Levitt will executive produce alongside them, so he must be impressed by Lovejoy’s script.
