With the The Hunger Games franchise officially in his rear view mirror, Josh Hutcherson is moving on to bigger and better projects, namely James Franco’s adaptation of THE DISASTER ARTIST, the behind-the-scenes tell all about the making of Tommy Wiseau’s cult classic The Room written by Tom Bissell and Greg Sestero. Franco is directing a screenplay from Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber.
The story is being described as “a buddy comedy about two outsiders who embark on a delusional journey to make their dreams come true.” Hutcherson will play Philip Haldman, the actor who portrayed Denny in The Room.
Seth Rogen will produce with Evan Goldberg and Vince Jolivette. The Tracking Board broke the news earlier this year that Rogen would not only be producing, but appearing on screen as well. His character has yet to be revealed.
Hutcherson is repped by CAA and The Beddingfield Company.
