Everyone’s favorite baker, Josh Hutcherson, is in talks to re-team with Dwayne Johnson for the next two installments of JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH 3 and JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH 4. While the plot is being kept quiet for now, previously, Johnson starred as a Navy code breaker with Hutcherson playing his step son as they set out to find his missing grandfather. Before that, it was Hutcherson and Brendan Fraser as an uncle in search of his missing brother, assisted by his nephew, travelling to the literal center of the Earth.
Although Hutcherson certainly made a name for himself in the first “Journey” films, as well as “Bridge to Terabithia” and “The Kids Are All Right,” it wasn’t until he was cast as Peeta in “The Hunger Games” franchise that he became a household name. Hutcherson will, of course, be reprising his role as the bread baker’s son for the final two installments of the franchise, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay,” parts 1 and 2, alongside Jennifer Lawrence. He will also star in Andrea Di Stefano’s thriller “Paradise Lost” with Benicio Del Toro.
