Julie Delpy has signed on to join the ensemble cast of the the THE BACHELORS alongside last year’s Best Supporting Actor winner J.K. Simmons. The comedic drama follows a widower, played by Simmons, and his 17-year-old son as they move from northern California to Los Angeles for a new start. Their lives change in the new town when two extraordinary women enter their lives.
The film is written and directed by Kurt Voelker, who wrote Sweet November with Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron in 2001. Joseph McKelheer and Bill Kiely of Windowseat Entertainment as well as Matthew Baer and George Parra will produce.
Delpy is known for her role in Richard Linklater’s Before Sunset trilogy. She earned two Oscar nominations for Best Screenplay, for co-writing two of the movies from the trilogy. She also appeared in The Avengers: Age of Ultron earlier this year and stars in Todd Solondz’s Wiener-Dog, which took a bow at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
