Justin Chatwin joins Pierce Brosnan in the indie thriller URGE. The thriller, directed by Aaron Kaufman, centers on a group of friends who go on vacation to an island destination where they take part in a new designer drug that forces them to give in to their wildest urges. Chatwin has been cast as Jason, the protagonist, while Brosnan will play the creator of the new drug. They’re joined by Ashley Greene, Danny Masterson, Alexis Knapp, and Nick Thune.
On the silver screen, thrillers are Chatwin’s go-to genre. He has appeared in D.J. Caruso’s Taking Lives and Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds. He’s probably best known for his role on Showtime’s family dramedy Shameless. His most recent film was 2014’s sci-fi drama Bang Bang Baby. Next up, Chatwin is set to star in the drama The Greens Are Gone and rom-com No Stranger Than Love alongside Alison Brie and Colin Hanks.
