Justin Lin is set to helm STAR TREK 3 for Paramount. J.J. Abrams, who directed the previous two Treks, and Roberto Orci are producing the third installment of the rebooted Star Trek franchise with Bad Robot and Skydance Productions. The series stars Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto as Kirk and Spock respectively. This will be the thirteenth Star Trek film to date.
Lin is best known for directing the last four installments of the Fast and Furious franchise. Among his myriad of upcoming projects, Lin is attached to direct and executive produce Universal Pictures’ reboot of The Wolf Man, which is to be a piece of Universal’s new intended cinematic universe. He’s also set to direct an untitled sequel to Jeremy Renner’s Bourne Legacy franchise.
