Kaitlin Olson has landed a recurring role on the upcoming fourth season of Fox’s NEW GIRL. The comedy series stars Zooey Deschanel as flighty but lovable Jess, whose life is often complicated by her male roommates, one of whom shares an on-again off-again relationship with her. Olson will guest star as Ashley, the finacee of Jess’ father, who is played by Rob Reiner. Not only is Ashely poised to become Jess’ new stepmom, but she is Jess and Cece’s high school nemesis.
Olson is a well known face on the TV landscape, having played Dee on the FX comedy series “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” Olson has also appeared in guest roles on HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and FX’s animated comedy “Unsupervised.” Olson’s most recent film credits include roles in “The Heat” and “Escape from Planet Earth.”
The fourth season of “New Girl” premieres September 16 on Fox.
