Kate Beckinsale Boards Marc Webb’s “The Only Living Boy in New York”

The cast of Marc Webb’s forthcoming drama THE ONLY LIVING BOY IN NEW YORK is starting to take shape with being the most recent star to join the cast. The film follows a young man who learns of his overbearing father’s affair, but after trying to stop it, ends up becoming involved with the woman as well. Beckinsale is set to play the mistress who finds the son charming and has no intention of leaving the family’s life.

The film previously had Miles Teller attached to star as the young man, but has since been replaced by Callum Turner. The Tracking Board also broke the news that Jeff Bridges would also star in the pic. Dope actress Kiersey Clemon has also signed on to the project.

The pic will be financed and distributed by Amazon Pictures. Webb will direct the script by Allan Loeb. Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa are set to produce with John Fogel serving as exec producer.

Beckinsale recently starred in Whit Stillman’s Love & Friendship as well as the thriller The Disappointments Room. She is set to reprise her role as Selene in the vampiric fantasy franchise Underworld: Blood Wars.
