Kate Bosworth is taking a trip to an alternate reality, one in which the Nazi’s occupy England, Winston Churchill dies during WWII, the SS has kidnapped King George, and the jackboots are steps away from Big Ben. Len Deighton’s SS-GB, titled after the alternate reality’s occupying Nazi police force, has been ordered to a five-episode limited series by the BBC, and is being written by Spectre’s Neal Purvis and Robert Wade (who have also worked on the past five Bond installments as well).
Bosworth will play Barbara Barga, an American reporter who meets main character Inspector Douglas Archer (Sam Riley) at the murder scene of a physicist/British Resistance fighter. Although Barga seems to be involved in the death somehow, romance blooms between the two.
Bosworth has been seen recently in the faith-based film 90 Minutes in Heaven, and will be seen in the Crackle produced webseries The Art of More this fall.
